FILMFEST MÜNCHEN not only takes place on 10 days every summer. With our numerous cooperation partners, we also organize exciting events throughout the year at a wide variety of venues all over Munich and beyond the city limits. From Nov 28 to Nov 30 2023, the Filmfest organized its second conference on the topic of "Participation in Film" in cooperation with the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing. Many participants from the industry discussed what has already happened since the last conference, what still needs to happen and how to maintain an ongoing dialog on this important topic.

In cooperation with the NS-Dokumentationszentrum München, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN will show the documentary A BREATH OF LIFE by Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini on Wednesday, December 7, at 7 pm. Admission is free. The two co-directors will be present and will have a conversation with Filmfest programmer Julia Weigl after the film.
