1. SUBMITTING FILMS

The following films can be submitted to the festival throughout the year (no form necessary).

FEATURE films and FEATURE documentaries

minimum running time 75 minutes produced in 2010/2011 Submission deadline: April 20, 2011

German TV movies and German TV documentaries

minimum running time 60 minutes, maximum running time 120 minutes produced in 2010/2011 Submission deadline: March 31, 2011

Please send a DVD accompanied by information on the film to:

If a film already has a German distributor please inform us.
Unfortunately, films which have been screened at other German festivals as well as films already released theatrically in Germany or previously broadcast on German television cannot be considered.

2. SELECTION OF FILMS

All films to be screened at Filmfest München are selected by a festival committee consisting of German and international film experts. Each film selected will receive a formal invitation to the festival as well as an official entry form.

3. FESTIVAL SCREENINGS

---

Festival screenings of the selected feature films and feature documentaries are on 35 mm (optical sound track), 16 mm (optical sound track), Beta SP PAL, DigiBeta PAL or HDCAM/High Definition, including with picture resolution of 2K or 4K.

HDCAM SR screenings, Super-16 screenings and dual-band screenings are not possible.

The selected German TV movies and TV documentaries will be screened on DigiBeta PAL, HDCAM or 35mm.
